You’ll be in teams, with each jogging in a single file line at a moderate pace. The last man on the line has to sprint to the head of the line. The person at the very end of the line, sprints up to the top of the line. A steady paced jog continues. The team then counts to ten, after which the person in front is replaced by the sprinter from the rear. This is repeated until all members of the team had their turn to sprint to the line’s head.
Exercise using the Medicine ball with the Indian Run
Each person is split into teams and a moderate pace must be set as each jog in a single file line. The man at the front who is carrying a medicine ball, must pass it off to the person behind him. The ball must be held above the head and the person behind grabs hold of it. The ball must be passed to each person until it has reached the end of the line. The last man has to run to the head of the line and do the same exercise again. Your team finishes when each have had their sprint to the head of the line.
Twenty-one to One
The idea is to do twenty-one push ups, followed by twenty-one crunches. When the first set is finished, everyone does 20 pushups and crunches until reaching one. A smaller or larger number of sets can be used depending on the fitness level of the group.
Ride and Squat
Get in pairs of two, in a grass field. One of the partners carries the other to the middle of the field. The person who is carrying the other, stops in the middle of the field and does ten or any number of squats that they choose. Now walk the other half of the field and switch partners.
Switch it up a bit between exercises. One day could be spent on the weight drills like the piggy back and squats. The team could do the running exercises(The Indian Run or the Medicine Ball Run) on other days. Keep in mind the various fitness levels in each team, and try to split them up into the groups they fit into.
In between each combination of drills, it would be a good idea to rest. Get plenty of water during this time. You will find that these boot camp exercised routines are really fun. The result of working together and camaraderie will be increased as these exercises are used in team building.
